It took me this long to realize one of the reasons you and Alexine refer to Calligula as the wolf. Lupin. Duh.

So he wanted to reproduce because of family pressure, and he's deluded enough to think that he can just be the dad to Alexine's kid/s and marry her eventually. It's scary. It's scary how entitled he can be. 

Oh man, I love that you showed how the games can be edited and manipulated. Like all reality TV shows. And Calligula knows how to manipulate things so that Alexine can be seen as the most favorable tribute. The edited versions of what happened seem kind of ridiculous since we the readers saw what really happened. But the Capitol would eat that up.

"Were her little friends ill or had they been assaulted by some evil human?" That's so accurate, that's exactly how Vivi would react.

No!! Don't threaten Calliope, Calligula! Julie too. God, I hate that he's able to manipulate people so easily. It makes sense that he can. But it still sucks.

Ah. Calligula made a hiccup. He said a pregnant girl volunteered. Carmen didn't. If Melagent caught that, he'd know Alexine is pregnant, and not Carmen. 

Oh man, holograms from hell time! Fun fun! But then Alexine turns it around and oh man, those promises. Thanks for that, Alexine. Mellony is actually cheering you on from the afterlife.

Andy, quit snapping at the holograms. That won't help you.

Carmen being able to find cameras and disable them, clever girl. And being alone is her personal hell. Yeah. That sounds accurate. 

I didn't notice this on the first read but oh. Oh, Alexine inadvertently gave Andy the idea when she shared the story of The Little Mermaid. So she was responsible for his death. 

You gave him such a nice ending too. ;_; The little shit finally has to face the reality of what happened to his family. And he tries to redeem himself by sacrificing his life for Carmen and Alexine. It's for selfish reasons, he thinks he'll get to reunite with his family in the afterlife then. But he still did a good. 

I love the theme you have going through this of the remaining tributes making promises that conflict with each other.

"I would visit Mellony’s parents; I would ask her father to talk in private, tear my top apart and run out screaming. Who would they believe? Him or a Victor?" Do it. DO IT.

And I'm pretty sure that Sundeep just poisoned Calligula. Good. 

Gosh this was so good. You did a great job wrapping up all of the plotlines and giving characters time in the narrative and it's just so good.
